Abi's Place Announces Membership of Four New Members to Board of Directors

Coral Springs Nonprofit School for Children with Disabilities Elects New Board Members

​Abi’s Place, a nonprofit school in Coral Springs that assists children with disabilities, has elected four new board members at its recent meeting.

First, Abi’s Place is pleased to announce the promotion of Robert Rand, Vice President of Operations at Rand Internet Marketing, from Board Member to Board President. Mr. Rand has been involved with Abi’s Place since 2010, holding the previous position of Board Member. 

As we sharpen our focus on improving the services for children with disabilities and their families in our community, we welcome the addition of four outstanding board members. Their business expertise in strategic planning, law, finance, and public-private partnerships will strengthen the ability to take the school to another level and increase our impact in the community.

Abi’s Place has also elected three new members to be added to their team on the Board of Directors. The three new members consist of business executives who come from diverse  private-sector backgrounds. These members include Event Planner Debbie Malaga of DM Events and Design, AmTrust Bank second Vice President Donna Denton, and Scott Newmark, Personal Injury Attorney. The wide range of backgrounds allows Abi’s Place to improve and flourish in numerous areas.

In addition to a new Board President and three new board members, CEO, Julie Zeno, is celebrating her one-year anniversary with Abi’s Place. With degrees in Early Childhood and Elementary Education as well as a former elementary school teach and administrator, Juli has a wealth of experience working with non-profit organizations.
